Los Angeles based sculptor, Hacer b. 1976, is renowned for his bold, origami-inspired, metal sculptures that explore psychologically complex themes. Hacer’s introduction to the nostalgic art form began at age seven when he discovered, “Sadako And The Thousand Paper Cranes” by Eleanor Coerr.
His reductive reinvention of the aesthetic in combination with monumental vision have manifested museum and national art fair exhibitions and realized massive, permanent sculptural installations: Wynn Macau Luxury Resort in China, The Los Angeles Pacific Design Center, University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH; Los Angeles Trade Technical College; University Of La Verne in Los Angeles; Autry National Center Southwest Museum in Los Angeles; City Center in Havana, Cuba; Manhattan NY for The Garment District Alliance and DOT, National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, WY and The Whitney Western Art Museum, WY.
