Richard Rush

I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. At 20, I moved to New York City where I lived for the next 15 years. While in the city, I studied acting and painted in my Brooklyn apartment. I am a self-taught painter. My work is often of futuristic landscapes or scenes in which the nature and technology are evolved and imagined to be different than we know it now. My work is also about interpreting the feelings of an imagined character. My intention is to represent what encompasses memories and dreams and the flashes of images we retain which accompany them.
